The cottage

Welcome to Llwyn Onn

In the Snowdonia National Park, in the shadow of Moel Siabod and at the heart of the picturesque Lledr valley, sits the small village of Dolwyddelan. Midway between the coast and the mountains of Snowdonia, it is an ideal base for exploring this magnificent part of Wales. Llwyn Onn (Ash Grove) is a semi-detached two bedroom miners cottage, built circa 1870. It has been completely renovated, modernised and equipped to contain all you need to make your stay comfortable.

With the wonders of Snowdonia and some of North Wales’ most popular spots so close at hand, this is the perfect base to return to at the end of an adventure-filled day.

Be drawn into the property by its modern sitting room; comfortable seating, a stunning woodburning stove and a wall-mounted TV make it a lovely spot to kick back and relax, a rustic wooden dining table rests to the side. Head into the galley kitchen to prepare your meals, stylish oak units house all of the necessary appliances to set you up for your stay.

The luxuriously tiled bathroom featuring a roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle is a perfect place to refresh. The two bedrooms at Llwyn Onn are neutrally decorated, graced with thoughtful touches to make you feel at home, and with plenty of storage to make the most of.

Outside lies a delightful enclosed garden, a patio area with splendid plants and furniture is the perfect spot to sit out in the sun and unwind. Dolwyddelan is a charming little village, its shop and pubs sit just a stone’s throw from the cottage. Nearby you can discover the wonders of Snowdonia from its scenic walks and cycle paths to its extreme outdoor activities and popular attractions such as Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog.

“Llwyn Onn Ticked all the boxes”

“Me and my wife wanted a walking holiday combined with a romantic getaway, and llwyn Onn ticked all the boxes. So many great walks near by, we even got to the top of Moel Siabod, and what could be a better way to unwind and ease your aching legs after, than a glass of wine while soaking in the lovely roll top bath, before snuggling up together in front of the log burner. Perfect”

“It’s a true home away from home”

“We had a superb time during our stay at Llwyn Onn, it’s a true home away from home. Coming back to the cottage and firing up the wood burner to relax at the end of the day was such a highlight. North Wales is just breathtaking, unfortunately we ran out of time in our week here, so we’ll definitley be coming back next year.”
